Difficulty latching baby
Difficulty positioning baby for breastfeeding/body feeding
Slow weight gain for baby
Low milk supply or oversupply for parent
“Plugged ducts,” engorgement, mastitis
Tongue-tie or lip-tie (ankyloglossia)

Sleep difficulty
Prenatal Appointment
In- Person or Virtual. The appointment will be about 60 minutes long.
This appointment is for prenatal people who want to build a relationship with their lactation support before baby arrives, have 1-1 education about what to expect in the early days of new parenthood, and have a breast exam if desired.
Especially useful for:
Parents with previous experiences of low milk supply or other unexplained feeding challenges.
Parents diagnosed with diabetes or other endocrine differences.
Pumping Only Appointment
In-person only. The appointment will be about 60 minutes long.
This appointment is for anyone who owns a breast pump and wants their pumping to be:
More comfortable
More efficient
We will swap in and out different styles and sizes of flanges to hone in on your customized setup.
Please mention the specific make and model of the pump(s) you will bring. Remember all parts of your current pump setup, including tubing, attachments, shields/flanges/shells, bottles, power supply, and anything you may have already tried.
This appointment is parent-focused and does not include a baby evaluation. If you have baby-focused questions, please schedule an initial appointment first.
Bottle Feeding Appointment
In-person is ideal, but it can be virtual. The appointment will be about 60 minutes long.
This appointment is for the breastmilk or formula-fed baby that has either:
Bottle refusal
Bottle-feeding difficulty (choking, gulping, too slow)
We will discuss feeding issues and trial several bottles and nipples. Please bring all of the bottles and nipples you have tried.
It can take quite some time to help a nursing baby learn to take full feedings from the bottle. Ideally, this appointment is scheduled a month+ before full bottle feeding is required. If parents have milk supply or pumping questions in addition to the baby’s bottle feeding difficulty, please schedule an initial appointment first.
